X-Road security server services
An X-Road security server is a mandatory component for any organisation that exchanges data with state information systems. Spin TEK manages security servers fully on your behalf.
What is X-Road?
X-Road is a secure data exchange environment through which information systems can exchange data with each other. X-Road also facilitates individuals' access to data stored in national databases.
X-Road is required for institutions and companies that need to exchange data with state information systems or other X-Road-connected organisations. A security server acts as the secure connection node between information systems, controlling request permissions, integrity and security.

Request volume fee
The monthly fee includes up to 249,999 requests per month across all environments. For higher volumes a request volume fee is added based on the actual monthly count.
Query log retention
By default we retain query logs for 3 months. Longer retention can be ordered as an add-on; the fee is calculated at the end of each month based on actual storage used.

Included in the joining fee
- Initial guidance and consultation.
- Verification of institution and subsystem registration status.
- Addition of subsystems to security servers.
- Assistance with X-Road registration if needed.
- Certificate information intermediation or ordering of certificates under authorisation.
- Installation of certificates in security servers.
- Creation of security server access in firewalls based on IP addresses.
- Installation of client information system certificates in security servers.
Not included: information system development, query programming, integration development or development training. These can be agreed separately if needed.
